Judging

Overall
This is the creativeness of the picture. I am not judging on skill of the drawing and coloring. Is the picture appealing to look at? Am I drawn to it? Did you look at the weather and draw it in?

Background and Objects in picture
How much effort is put into the background. Did you look around the centre to see what is where? Was the theme portrayed in your picture?

Effort in Shading and Highlighting
This is against your gallery not against other participants.

Story
I want the stories to be over a paragraph. Leading up to the event, the event and then the riders feelings after the event is a way to go in the story. But I am open to reading all stories.

Music
This is for dressage and Liberty only. Please make it appropriate to the theme.

Theme
Did you portray the theme in your pictures?

Bonus Pictures
This depends onthe effort you put in them.

Venue
I will tell you what color the venue areas are from this map:

Dressage Rings (pink or number 8) both are 20x60
Indoor Arena- It has a 7ft round track around the arena. There will be low numbers on flower boxes with a low rail between them You the drawer can pick what kind and color they are. The light greenish box outline on each short end are judges boxes. One the second floor above the different color boxes(on top of the pick box) are the observation area. The walls are wooden slats going vertically. There are mirrors on the long sides. Tall windows on the brown side of the arena, you can see out of them if you are on a 16hand horse. There are skylights to let the sun in. Halter and Showmanship classes will take place here too.
Outdoor Arena: There is the same 7ft area around the dressage ring, made out of a synthetic dirt/rubber. The judges box is the same yellow green box. Observers can sit in the 3 row seating on the long sides of the arena outside of the dirt area. It is open to the elements. The railings around it is three rails high(around 2ft) so that in the snow they can be seen. The letters, are in flower boxes but there are shrubs in them.

Show Jumping Arena (dark teal or number 6)
The arena has rubber mulch for the footing. There will be 14 jumps that have a winter theme to them for all of the show and hunter jumping. The arena has a 4 rail white fence around it. The Light green area is the judges box with bleachers on the two sides around them.

Cross Country Course: (starts at number 10)
It starts in the starting box and vet box. There are 32 efforts for over 16 and 24 for under 16. There will be 2 water jumps, a ditch, a coffin plus more. Some will be decorated in the theme of winter. There are spruce trees, bare trees and bushes surrounding the course. You might see wild animals on the course too. This will host the marathon from the combined driving(they will not have to jump but they will go through the water, around trees, down slopes between railings.

All Purpose Arena: (number 7 or purple blue)
This is a rubber mulch covered arena. The sides are 4 and half feet tall, with post going up to the roof about ever 5ft. The sides are wooden slats. This arena is 30x50. This is where the Liberty, halter and showmanship classes will take place (or in the indoor arena).

Area between the All purpose arena and number 11
This is where the all of the combined driving will take place but the marathon. There will be a area made up for the dressage section in a 40 by 100 meter made with three rails and flower boxes( where you will have to make a circle, walk, trot, halt, back up, figure 8, diagonal work, canter, also the extended and collected gaits). The Cone Obstacle course will be going between 20pairs of cones that have balls balancing on them(do not knock them down), around wooden frame on the ground and over one bridge twice.

Grey area around number 1
This is where the pleasure driving will take place. The horses will have to go at a walk, trot, extended gaits and colleted gaits. There are more trees than shown, but you will go past paddocks and the breeding barn.

Wildlife preserve (not shown)
This is where the endurance part of the competition will take place. There will be 4 vet check areas every 25miles. In between them will be an area that will be set aside for horses and riders that need to be picked up. You will go through dense forest area, over a few fences, down a few slopes, and through a few rivers(some small enough that you can jump them)
Winter Wonderland Ball
The Winter Wonderland Ball will take place in the ball room in the house. There will be sled rides around the Equestrian Centre and there will be pickups at the bunkhouse, and all of the stables. All participants, grooms, family and friends are welcome to come to the ball. There will be two photographers one in the ball area and one out side walking around to catch people dressed up with their horses or out in the sleds. Hope we will see you there.
